This study is one of two pieces I created one morning after sketching the Yucca Flowers with charcoal at the park in Madrid. It was the first time I had used charcoal in years, and the experience had an interesting impact on my work—shifting my approach to painting these flowers toward something more figurative, expressive, and less abstracted.

The price does not include a frame.
